CHATEAU LE PUY

Bordeaux, France

Winemaker: Jean-Pierre Amoreau
Land size: 51 hectares
Vineyards: Cotes de Francs

Varieties of grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Carmenére

Le Puy is one of the wineries that is not only known in the subcultural world of the natural wine underground, but also has a well-established reputation in the mainstream wine world.

This is partly due to the fact that the Amoreau family, who own the estate and are now in their 15th generation, have been accumulating knowledge for over 400 years, which is naturally reflected in the quality of their wines.

Secondly, at the beginning of the 20th century, it was a historic decision to reject the use of chemicals from the outset, so to speak, and thus to go organic, and to switch to biodynamic farming (1990).
