VEYDER-MALBERG

Wachau, Austria

Winemaker: Peter Veyder-Malberg
Land size: 4 hectares
Vineyards: Brandstatt, Bruck, Bushenberg, Hochrain, Loiben, Schön, Weitnberg

Varieties of grapes: Riesling, Grüner Veltelini

The winery was founded in spring 2008. Its ancient dry-wall terraces are not only characteristic of the Wachau, but also of the distinctive taste of Wachau wines, which is truly unique in the world.

The vineyards here are very arduous, especially as there is hardly any machinery. That's why Peter Veyder-Malberg is committed to working purely by hand, using methods that have been used for centuries. These are of course used to nurture the soil and enhance the vitality of the vines.

But working on terraces is much more complex and costly. That is why it makes sense to produce only top international premium quality wines. The wines' drinkability and ageing potential are key to any decision in the winery.
