CHAMPAGNE FLEURY
Champagne, France
Land size: 15 hectares
Vineyards: Cote des Bar, on both sides of the Seine valley
Varieties of grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
1970 Jean-Pierre Fleury began to investigate the use of compost and mechanical ploughing in Champagne.
1989 He is the first grower in Champagne to convert his vineyard to biodynamics, first on 3 hectares and later, in 1992, on the whole estate.
The Fleury vineyard is located on the Cote des Bar, on two sides of the Seine valley, on clayey, chalky slopes.
The finest work, such as pruning, tying and harvesting, is done by hand with great care.
Our varieties of stakes:
Pinot Noir: gives the wine body, power and intensity.
Chardonnay: white grapes for lightness and finesse.
Champagne is born in the effervescence of bubbles.
